My Skin Story: From Inflammation to Empowerment

 

For most of my adult life, I struggled with rosacea, sensitivity, and skin that always felt on edge — reactive, inflamed, and exhausted by conventional products. I was tired of navigating ingredient lists that read like chemistry textbooks and routines that felt more like punishment than self-care.

The shift happened when I started learning about grass-fed, grass-finished tallow — a deeply bioavailable, nutrient-rich fat used for generations to soothe and replenish the skin. When paired with clean, organic oils — nothing else added — it became my skin’s turning point. And the more I simplified, the more I healed.

 

A Legacy of Wellness: My Grandma Elaine

 

The name Elaine isn’t just a brand decision — it’s a tribute. My grandmother Elaine, whom I’m named after, was the first person who introduced me to the idea of living holistically and toxic-free. Long before it was popular, she believed in nourishing the body with real food, using clean remedies, and honoring the wisdom of nature. Her influence is woven into every part of this company. She didn’t just plant the seed — she passed down a legacy.

My Family, My Roots

 

I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana with my partner Alex and our two dogs, Ashoka and Milo. This business is an extension of our home — from slow-rendering grass-fed tallow in my kitchen, to hand-blending oils with care. I wanted this to be more than skincare. I wanted it to feel like a return to something sacred.
